LIFE ON THE ISLAND

Been visited Nusa Lembongan for a few times, this was my first time arranging everything and spent a new year's eve there. Nusa Lembongan is a small island off the southeast coast of the main island of Bali. Nusa Lembongan is becoming one of Bali's most popular attractions for its peacefull and away from hassle and hectic of South of Bali (Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, etc). Actually there are 3 islands are separated from Bali by Badung Strait, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, and the biggest one is Nusa Penida. You can explore Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan at the same time since both islands are connected by the bridge, the famous Indiana jones style suspended bridge. Many areas around the islands are good for diving and snorkeling. You'll also find many beautifull hidden white sand beaches around the island.

You can reach Nusa Lembongan & Ceningan from Bali by Boat. There are several options of boat according to budget and speed. You can go from Sanur Beach. You can choose public slow boat or fast boat. For fast boat, you can choose public fast boat managed by the local or choose one of many professional boat services. Slow boat will take you to Nusa Lembongan approximately for 90 minutes, while fast boat will take you only for 30 minutes (depends on the tide of course).

I was staying at one of most wanted hotel at Nusa Ceningan called Le Pirate Beach Club. With 10 simple "Beach Box" you'll get the "life on the island" experiences. Equipped with cocktail pool bar, restaurant, tennis table, petanque, board games, wifi, swimming pool and sun lounges, it's a perfect getaway from the busy of the city. Le Pirate Beach club is set on a prime position on a low cliff with direct beach access, overlooking turquise waters with seaweed farm in front of you. You can choose your Beach Box, with double bed or bunk bed. All beach box is including private semi outdoor bathroom and a hammock.

You need to rent a  motorbike to go around this island, since there's no public transport. You can go to from one beach to another beach, try some of Nusa Lembongan & Ceningan finest Beach Club, get a mangrove tour. Last but not least, try Snorkeling tour. You'll get 4 spots of snorkeling, Mangrove, Gamat Bay, Crystal Bay, and Manta Point. All the spots is breathtakingly beautiful, especially for you who's a newbie for snorkeling.

Got a chance as well to try some of the food on the island first at Le Pirate beach Club and The Deck. Click here for Le Pirate food review and here for The deck food review.
